A view of Hull

The Old Town

The picture shows the state of Humber Dock in 1979, and also the entrance to Railway Dock. The sheds behind the Railway Dock warehouses were a goods shed and rail warehouses, with lines joined to the LNER (latterly BR Easten Region) lines a mile or two to the west. The tall warehouses are a little under a half of an impressive range that had earlier stood beside Railway Dock, the rest being demolished in the early 1970s.

Still Occupied

Images on this site are arranged into rough areas by location as in my book 'Still Occupied', available on Blurb. Eventually this site will contain all the images in that book and more.
